A forest fire in Wanqiao Village, Dali City, southwest China’s Yunnan Province, has been extinguished and no casualties have been reported, according to the headquarters of forest and grassland fire prevention and extinguishment in Dali City. The fire covered an area of about 720mu, according to the headquarters.
It is understood that the forest fire mainly to Yunnan pine and miscellaneous irrigation, the fire burning intensity, the fire site steep terrain, steep mountain slopes, brought great difficulties to the fire fighting.
A total of 2,532 people, including 31 forest fire pumps and three M-171 helicopters, have been deployed to fight the forest fire, which broke out at noon on Monday.At 6:40 a.m., the fire in the Dashaba Mountain, Wanqiao Village, Wanqiao Town, Dali City, was completely extinguished.
